There’s a lot to see and do in Warsaw, but going along with children presents a specific handful of challenges. Many sites are too far, too boring, or just not tailored to children and pulling them along just turns your vacation into a nightmare.

1. Copernicus Science Center
The Copernicus Science Center is an absolute must-see! Some people call it a “museum” but it’s certainly not a stereotypical stuffy and boring building. There are tons of interactive displays that will not only grab your kids’ attention, but also show them that science and learning can be fun! And don’t despair, adults, there are plenty of displays, puzzles, and interactive activities that you can do too! It literally is fun (and educational) for the whole family! 2. Museum of Dollhouses, Games, and Toys
If your children are into dollhouses and toys, this museum might be something right up their alley. The museum (located in Warsaw’s Old Town) displays a multitude of dollhouses, toys, stuffed animals, puzzles, and games, some of which are around 200 years old! Parents can have a grand time showing their kids the games they used to play when they were young!
It can also organize a birthday party if your kid has their birthday while in Warsaw.
3. Multimedia Fountain Park
The Multimedia Fountain Park is a great place to see with your kids, especially during hot summer days. There are lots of columns of water that can reach several meters and it's a great place to just run around, cool off, and have some fun. Come by in the evenings for the laser light show accompanied by water streams that tell the story of Warsaw and its many legends. Open May-September.
4. Warsaw Zoo
Zoos are always a safe bet when thinking of family-friendly activities, and the Warsaw Zoo is no exception. It’s super easy to get to from the city center and has loads of different animals to see. Check out their website to see when feeding times for the animals are or register for one of their zoo tours in English to learn more about the zoo and its animals. If that’s not enough for your children, there’s also a zoo playground to play on and a mini train (in the summers) that can take you up the main path of the zoo!
5. Łazienki Park
If you’re planning a leisurely stroll with your family, Łazienki Park is undoubtedly the best place to go. This once royal park has plenty of flora and fauna to admire and take pictures of along its many sandy walking paths. Youngsters can try their luck at feeding seeds to squirrels, chasing around pigeons, and trying to spot a peacock. Feel like something sweet afterwards? There are a few places where you can get some ice cream or waffles to cap off your day.
6. Dom Zagadek
Love escape rooms? Well this one is suitable for adults as well as children and teenagers. There are several different rooms to choose from, most with both kid-friendly and adult-friendly scenarios that you have 60 minutes to make your way through. Children between 8-12 can play with parents or under the supervision of a designated employee. Make sure to reserve your room via their website.
7. Niewidzialna Wystawa
This exhibition (titled “the invisible exhibition”) will teach you to see things differently. The whole exhibition is done in pitch blackness to help you experience what the world is like for the visually-impaired as well as raising awareness about their needs, problems, and amazing adaptability. Groups are taken through the exhibition by a visually-impaired guide who will ask questions and give different tasks in different rooms that relate to everyday activities, so it’s great for entire families to take part in. The exhibition is very popular so make sure to get your tickets ahead of time.
8. Stacja Muzeum
Every family has at least one kid interested in trains and so Stacja Muzeum is a natural family-friendly place to visit in Warsaw. It’s located in the city center in the building that once was Warsaw Main Station. The exhibition halls display more than 6000 different exhibits and the open-air part of the museum has 50 different train engines to admire. 9. Smart Kids Planet
Smart Kids Planet is one of the best places to go when thinking about things to do with kids in Warsaw. They have six different zones tailored to kids from 0-10 with activities in sports, ecology, creative arts, and space. Activities are innovative and really hands-on, focused on not only letting children have fun, but learning as well. They offer organized birthday parties too!
10. TEPfactor
If you’re a fan of escape rooms or just need to blow off some steam, TEPfactor is for you. It’s a complex of 25 rooms all connected through a crazy labyrinth full of obstacles that you need to use your brains and braun to get through. Perfect for families and nearly all ages; you can bond while trying to get through rope webs, swinging obstacles, or a closed gate.
11. Park Szymańskiego
Taking a walk in the park is one of the best things to do in Warsaw. And while nearly every park in Warsaw is really worth seeing, Park Szymańskiego is a mecca for bikers and skateboarders as well as evening walks. Make sure to check out their multimedia fountains while you’re there; this big park has something for everyone in the family.
